This year, Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino presents a series of exclusive events titled “Stirring Stars”, offering unique culinary, wine, and mixology experiences to its guests. Starting from May 26th and continuing throughout the season until mid-October, the resort will welcome Michelin-starred chefs, globally recognised sommeliers, and talented mixologists for evenings dedicated to Greek and international gastronomy and fine drinking.

The first Mandarin Oriental property in Greece is gearing up for its second year, inviting guests to indulge in refined flavours at “The Private Kitchen” and “Three Admirals Lounge”, where they will have the opportunity to savour the creations of participating chefs, mixologists, and sommeliers.

Set amidst unparalleled natural beauty on the shores of Navarino Bay, with the legendary hospitality of Mandarin Oriental, guests will embark on an extraordinary journey for all the  senses.

“Starry Nights”: Haute Cuisine Takes Centre Stage

The Executive Chef of Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino, Bertrand Valegeas, and his team welcome some of the most prominent figures in the contemporary gastronomic scene to “The Private Kitchen”, offering an unparalleled culinary journey. Resort guests will have the opportunity to taste dishes prepared by influential and Michelin-starred chefs, who will elevate the experience at “The Private Kitchen” with their creativity and inspiration.

Hervé Pronzato, Philip Chronopoulos, Alexandre Bader

The schedule for “Starry Nights” is as follows:

  • May 26-27: Hervé Pronzato, the Michelin-starred Chef Patron of Hervé restaurant, is coming from Athens to Messenia for two incomparable evenings dedicated to fine dining.
  • June 21-22: Billecart-Salmon & Kaviari, featuring Raphael Bouchez from Kaviari and Alexandre Bader from Billecart-Salmon, come together for an exquisite blend of flavours.
  • July 20-21: Philip Chronopoulos, the Executive Chef of Du Palais Royal in Paris, distinguished with 2 Michelin stars, promises a unique gastronomic experience with a touch of France.
  • August 20-28: Daniele Cason, the highly acclaimed master of Italian cuisine, returns to Pizza Sapienza by Daniele Cason to introduce guests to the secrets of Italian gastronomy.
  • October 11-12: Begoña Rodrigo, the acclaimed Chef behind the Michelin-starred La Salita in Spain, will present impressive dishes that reflect her creative vision.

Battles of Navarino: A Delightful Journey into Fine Drinking

 

In addition to gastronomy, guests will have the opportunity to delve into the art of mixology through a series of exclusive events, the “Battles of Navarino,” hosted at the “Three Admirals Lounge.” Beloved guest mixologists will join forces with the hotel’s team to offer a range of cocktails, from unexpected creations to beloved old-time classics, creating unforgettable evenings for all guests.

Moreover, wine enthusiasts can look forward to a unique evening curated by Konstantinos Lazarakis MW, Greece’s first Master of Wine. This special event will be dedicated to Louis Roederer, one of the oldest and most prestigious Champagne houses. Guests will have the opportunity to taste and learn about some of the House’s most iconic labels.

    The schedule for the “Battles of Navarino” and wine events is as follows:

    • June 6th: Nikos Gynargyros, the experienced mixologist, travels from Paxos for an evening of innovative cocktails that will impress even the most discerning palates.
    • June 12th: Louis Roederer & Konstantinos Lazarakis present a special evening with the signature of Master of Wine Konstantinos Lazarakis.
    • June 13th: Christos Klouvatos, the World Class Bartender, will introduce attendees to the secrets of premium cocktails.
    • June 20th: Vasilis Mylonas, the Head Bartender of Scorpios Mykonos, presents cocktails that reflect his philosophy.
    • June 27th: Gorilla Bar, the hip spot from Thessaloniki, travels to Messenia for an unforgettable evening with bold flavours.
    • July 4th: Line Athens, the beloved bar for cocktail enthusiasts, ranked #12 on the list of World’s 50 Best Bars, will delight lovers of innovative combinations.
    • July 11th: Achilleas Plakidas, the talented mixologist behind HiveO, comes for an evening dedicated to the art of exquisite cocktails.
    • July 18th: Konstantinos Ristanis, the creator of Spitaki Cocktail Bar, introduces signature cocktails from the beloved destination of Ioannina.
    • July 19-21: Metaxa, an evening where the renowned spirit takes centre stage.
    • July 25th: Alexandros Sourbatis, the award-winning cocktail master, creates proposals with premium spirits.
    • August 1st: Two Schmucks, ranked number 7 on the World’s 50 Best Bars list from Barcelona, travels to Messenia, offering its unparalleled flavours.
    • August 8th: Pietro Rizzo, the Global Bar Consultant with extensive experience in the field, will introduce cocktails featuring authentic combinations and innovative techniques.
