At Technopolis Athens, during a cool ceremony, the winners of the successful restaurant awards by Attica Media Group were announced. Eleven restaurants and bars in the capital won the audience accolades across an equal number of categories.

On Monday, March 11, 2024, a special ceremony hosted by Lambros Fisfis unveiled the winners of the Tasty Awards 2024 x Esquire. This marked the 8th consecutive year of the successful institution by Attica Media Group, which has consistently amplified the voice of the dining industry’s most important stakeholders – the guests. For the first time, the Tasty Awards came under the prestigious umbrella of Esquire, the world’s leading men’s lifestyle media brand, and its Greek edition. Throughout this journey, Travelworks Public Relations has been instrumental, working closely with the Group’s team for the eighth consecutive year in organizing this esteemed event.

Athens’ foodie audience voted across 11 categories, covering the entire spectrum of the culinary landscape, from Fine Dining and Hotel Restaurants to Street Food and Bars. The voting process, conducted online through Esquire’s website, esquire.com.gr, lasted two months, from late December 2023 to February 29, 2024. This year’s participation reached a record high, with 34,544 votes cast.

“The aim of the Tasty Awards 2024 x Esquire was twofold. Firstly, to offer visitors the chance to endorse their beloved spots in Athens through their votes – those venues that, via their cuisine, wines, beverages, service, and ambiance, resonated deeply with their souls. Secondly, it serves as our homage to the individuals constituting the restaurant’s universe. These are the people who, with their diligent efforts, innovative concepts, and unique offerings, have not only garnered the trust of the public but have also propelled the culinary landscape of Athens, and consequently, Greece, towards a gastronomic evolution like never before,” stated Babis Doukas, the Director of Esquire’s Greek edition.

The audience’s decision highlighted Varoulko Seaside by Lefteris Lazarou as this year’s premier Fine Dining destination, while GB Roof Garden, under the stewardship of chefs Asterios Koustoudis and Nikos Liokas, emerged as the leader in the Hotel Restaurants category.

Nolan, with Sotiris Kontizas at the helm, excelled in Modern Creative cuisine, and Volvi, owned by Aris Doukas and Tasos Perdikis, triumphed in the Street Food category. Mario & Luigi – The Eatalians was celebrated as the favorite Italian eatery, with Pharaoh and Papaiοannou earning accolades as the best in Greek and seafood cuisine, respectively. 

Basegrill was the choice for meat lovers, Matsuhisa Athens for fusion culinary experiences, and Akra, led by Spyros Pediaditis and Giannis Loukakis, stood out in the Newcomers category. Concluding, The 7 Jokers was declared the audience’s favorite bar.
