With this new arrival in Elounda, Meliá Hotels International now counts five hotels in Greece
May 14, 2026 – Athens, Greece
INNSiDE Crete Elounda has opened its doors for its first season, introducing the Greek public to Meliá Hotels International’s high-quality lifestyle brand. Set in an idyllic location with panoramic views over the Elounda bay and Spinalonga, INNSiDE Crete Elounda adds a new, contemporary dimension to this internationally renowned destination.
Owned and managed by Zeus Hotels, the hotel is a proud member of Meliá’s global portfolio, offering a setting where contemporary luxury meets absolute freedom. Its opening, following the complete renovation of the former Elounda Ilion, strengthens the strategic partnership between the two groups, which now numbers more than 1,050 rooms.
A holistic hospitality experience
The philosophy of the INNSiDE by Meliá brand centers on freedom and connection with the destination. The hotel features 84 spacious rooms and suites, 70% of which offer unobstructed sea views. The stay experience is elevated by 18 units with private pools, as well as the signature “The Loft” and “The Beach House” suites, designed for those seeking absolute comfort. At the heart of the property are the Open Living Lounges, a vibrant, unified space combining the lobby, reception, and bar, offering the ideal setting for socializing, while the innovative Big Idea Space is designed to make guests feel as much at home as possible.
Guests can enjoy the striking infinity pool or recharge at the outdoor InFit gym and private yoga sessions. INNSiDE Crete Elounda is also a dog-friendly resort, welcoming dogs of all sizes with dedicated amenities such as in-room beds and bowls, ensuring an enjoyable stay for every member of the family.
Gastronomy and sustainability
The gastronomic experience at INNSiDE Crete Elounda features two distinct restaurants with striking views. At Calydon restaurant, guests can enjoy authentic Mediterranean flavors, while Harupi restaurant combines the essence of local cuisine with a stunning setting above the sea. Meanwhile, the Lobby Bar offers a retro atmosphere for relaxation, and the Pool Bar is the perfect spot for refreshing cocktails by the pool.
At the same time, sustainability is woven into every detail of the stay. With an environmentally conscious philosophy, the resort follows a zero-paper and plastic-free policy, offers organic amenities in every room, and uses energy-efficient systems.
The connection with the local community is further reflected in the display of local artists’ work throughout the hotel, actively honoring the culture of Crete.
Strengthening Meliá’s presence in Greece
This new arrival adds to Meliá Hotels International’s strong presence in Greece, which includes Affiliated by Meliá Blue Sea Beach and Sol Marina Beach in Crete, Sol Cosmopolitan in Rhodes, and Meliá Athens in Athens.
