Kostas Panagakis | Founder, CEO
Kostas Panagakis is a corporate communications professional with more than 15 years experience in public relations, digital communications, crisis management and internal corporate communications. He is the founder & managing director of Travelworks, currently the fastest growing travel PR agency in south-eastern Europe.
Working closely with a number of high profile listed and private companies, Kostas has prepared and implemented a wide range of tailor made strategic communication programmes across a series of sectors and industries. For the past 3 years, however, he has focused exclusively on the travel and leisure segment, working with some of the most prestigious hospitality brands on the market.
Kostas and the multi-award winning Travelworks team have developed a loyal clientele base of top hotels and restaurants, including members of Leading Hotels of the World, Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Preferred Hotels & Resorts and Michelin Star Restaurants.
With a BSc in Business Administration and an MSc in Applied Economics and Finance, both from Athens University of Economics & Business, Kostas began his career in the financial services industry, soon specialising in communication. Prior to founding Travelworks, he provided advisory services on all aspects of corporate communication for multinational companies including Unilever, Replay, Barilla and the Credit Agricole Banking Group.
Nadia Paschali | Director Client Services
Nadia has a devotion to communication that transcends the boundaries of conventional PR. Her creativity, strategic thinking and business-driven attitude consistently deliver successful campaigns for all her clients.
Nadia joined Travelworks at its inception in 2014. A true multitasker, she is the linchpin of the agency, making sure the Travelworks DNA is embedded in all day-to-day tasks and activities.
With a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Panteion University, Athens, and a master’s degree in Communications and International Marketing from the University of Surrey, Nadia soon found her natural career path in PR. After graduating, she spent several years at a digital communications agency, honing her skills on projects for key health and nutrition clients. However, having travelled extensively throughout Europe, she discovered that the perfect outlet for her communication skills was in hotels and leisure PR.
Nadia’s strong work ethic, proactive approach and calm confidence have served a large number of high profile clients, whilst her extensive media contacts and networking skills ensure their stories are told in the right circles.
Dimitra Moraiti | Senior Account Manager
Dimitra knows that PR goes beyond conventional press releases and email pitches – rather it is about finding the best angle of each story to create value for the media and, in turn, for the clients
Adept at understanding client goals, and with a firm grasp of both the big picture and the small details, Dimitra is responsible for the management of many of Travelworks’ accounts, ranging from exclusive 5* hotels to upmarket city-centre restaurants.
Dimitra obtained her bachelor’s degree in Philology and Classical Greek Literature from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and went on to study Editing and Text Proofreading at the National Book Centre. She started her career at a magazine publishing company, where she honed her editorial and copywriting skills. Dimitra then worked for several years for a large Greek publishing house, coordinating the complete copy management of a wide range of publications.
Dimitra joined Travelworks in 2015, bringing with her over 10 years of experience in the publishing industry. She has an exceptional eye for detail and is also responsible for most of the company’s Greek language copy.
Ellie Karavanaki | Creative Director
Ellie’s understanding of current design and marketing trends allow her to craft only the very best products for clients, and she is responsible for all imagery and graphic content at Travelworks.
With one degree in photography, another in graphic design, and over twenty years experience in studios and publishing, Ellie is a powerhouse of creative and artistic energy.
Ellie began her career as a graphic designer in various creative offices including that of the Daily Press, and soon secured the role of Creative Art Director at a large publishing company. During this time she worked on a number of projects including typeface design, packaging prototypes and magazine content. Ellie then put her skills to use working freelance for various organisations and projects, including the Olympic Truce, and came to Travelworks in 2016.
Ellie is adept at producing original designs whatever the client’s requirements, from colourful and cutting edge to understated and elegant. She always keeps her clients abreast of progress and is open to their demands and ideas, whilst retaining her own strong creative vision.
As an artist in her own right, Ellie has an extensive portfolio and a number of group and solo exhibitions to her name.
Katerina Fotopoulou | Account Manager
Katerina is a highly focussed media professional, bringing her priceless combination of attention to detail, press experience and a genuine passion for travel to all her client accounts.
Katerina joined Travelworks in 2018 as an account manager, bringing with her over 12 years of experience from the press and media world.
Graduating with a bachelors degree in Social Policy from Panteion University, Katerina soon gravitated towards the media world, gaining experience through a journalism internship and work in her municipal press office as a communications officer. Displaying a clear flair for press relations and writing, Katerina was soon snapped up by AP Attica Press Ltd, where she worked in an editorial role for a variety of online and print publications.
In 2013 she transferred to a major Greek publishing house, where she continued to work in an editorial capacity, her most recent role being editor-in-chief of ICONS Travellers. During this time, Katerina travelled extensively throughout Greece, working for regional and special edition publications. This allowed her to develop an extensive network of media connections as well as tying in with her own love for travel.
Katerina is a member of the Editor’s Association of Magazine & Electronic Press (ESPIT).
Wendi Ellis | Chief Copywriter
Wendi understands that every hotel, restaurant or venue has a story, and is dedicated to communicating this in the most captivating way possible.
Wendi is Travelworks’ wordsmith, turning even the driest of data into engaging prose.
Wendi graduated from the University of Sunderland with a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies, and completed a master’s in Philosophy at the Duham University. She briefly worked as a legal clerk for the British Crown Prosecution Service but, realising that her future was abroad, moved to Athens 1995. Wendi’s love of language and creative writing led her to pursuing a career as a translator, copywriter and editor, and she holds an English language teaching qualification from TESOL. During this time Wendi developed polished writing skills, noticing in particular the importance of crafting strong headlines and introductions when writing pitches, press releases and promotional copy.
Wendi joined Travelworks in 2016 and now creates the agency’s English language copy and creative content, finding the newsworthy angles that get clients’ stories noticed.
Georgia Rapti | Social Media Manager
Georgia combines a savvy tech awareness and passion for her work to create a world of travel and hospitality wanderlust across all social media platforms.
After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Language from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Georgia joined Travelworks in 2016 and hit the ground running as the agency’s social media manager.
Her role involves overseeing each client’s social media strategy and ensuring it aligns with their company brand. She monitors clients’ social media platforms for customer feedback and engages in dialogue to resolve customer service issues as they arise.
Always ahead of the curve, Georgia can spot trends before they arise and understands the importance of analysing and evaluating social media KPIs with a view to impacting each client’s bottom line.
Elle Arscott | Marketing Manager
Elle’s broad skill set and international outlook lends itself to the creation of clear, well pitched and succinct copy which she uses to create compelling content that stands out in today’s cluttered media environment.
Elle joined Travelworks in 2017 as marketing executive, overseeing the agency’s internal and external marketing and helping drive new business efforts both domestically and overseas.
With a background in museums and events, Elle brings a cultural and creative angle to her work, and has quickly cultivated a strong awareness of emerging trends in the travel and hospitality industry. She holds a bachelor’s degree in History of Art & Music from the University of Edinburgh and a master’s degree in Heritage Management from the University of Kent. After working as the marketing officer for a prominent business association, as well as a number of roles in the museums and events industry, Elle moved to Athens in 2016.
Elle’s role at Travelworks involves researching, identifying and generating new business opportunities, as well as producing the agency’s marketing materials and case studies.
